Getting your team ready for Spring League this season? No better way than to head out the the BVA skills clinics!
There will be 3 skills clinics offered, register for 1 or 2 or all 3 skills clinics. Each registration must be completed separately.
When: Monday, Feb 27 / Monday, March 5 / Monday, March 12
Time: 7-9 pm
Where: Warwick Academy Gym
Cost: $10 per person per night
All participants must register on-line before each event. Spots are limited so ensure you complete your registration and pay your fee ahead of time. Registration links will be posted in mid-February. Stay tuned.

The Winter League End of Season Party, sponsored by Docksiders, is scheduled for Saturday, February 25, 2012 from 8 pm onwards in Dockies back room.
This party is for all co-ed, women’s A & B and men’s winter league teams. All league prizes will be distributed at the party and there will be nibbles and beverages provided! Don’t miss it!
Youth Volleyball Volunteers Needed
January 18th, 2012The Bermuda Volleyball Association is launching a new youth development program that is aimed at children from ages 8-14 years old. The program is called Cool Volley and will run for 6 weeks through March & April at Warwick Academy from 9-11 am on Saturday mornings.
The BVA is looking for a couple of volunteers to help administer this important new program. It is a great way to get involved in your volleyball community and become a mentor for children.

Bermuda Junior National Teams to Compete Abroad
January 13th, 2012The Bermuda Junior National Volleyball Teams are headed off to the frigid northern regions of the U.S. to heat things up on the court. The Girls team will be travelling to Hartford, Connecticut where they will participate in the 2012 WinterFest Volleyball Tournament. This is a tournament, which will include hundreds of teams from all over the US.
Head Coach, Donna Smith and Assistant Coach, Stacey Madeiros-Cooke will lead Captain Khianda Pearman, Michaela Eberly, Kristyn Dale, Jade Weaver, Melissa Fiddick, Amber Lopes, Ariel Kaplen, Ciara Rego, Eden Smith, Kyla Sinclair.
The Boys team will be competing at the CAN-AM Volleyball Tournament in Rochester, New York, where they will face teams from Canada and the US. There are nearly 80 teams in the competition, with 28 teams in the under 18 division, in which the boys will be playing in.
Head Coach, Bill Bucci and Assistant Coach, Mark Hamilton will lead Captain Daniel Fiddick, Joshua Malpas, Tiago Ferreira, Adrian Faries, Eron Woods, Kyle Hamilton, Keiran Hamilton, Brandon Sousa, Nicholas Coelho, Luke Parker, Chas Smith and Kazim Muhammad
Both teams have been training and hope to see another success following their Bronze and Silver medals at the ECVA Tournaments in St. Martin and Anguilla in the Summer of 2011.
Introducing “Cool Volley”, the BVA’s New Youth Program

Check this KIDS!
The Bermuda Volleyball Association wants YOU and your friends to play for the FIVB’s “Cool Volley” scene. It’ll be super easy for you to have fun, learn new skills and then show them off in the awesome game of volleyball. Better than gym class – it’s different. There won’t be strict coaching or drills, though someone will keep an eye out for good technique and fair play. You just play & work it out!
Volleyball is a popular sport all over the World! This will be another really fun thing to do outdoors, ace some new friends and skills. (”Ace” is a volleyball term too…do you know what it means?) You and your teammates will pass, set, spike and dig in competitive games each week!
Practice up and be part of the upcoming action!
3 Age groups: 8-10, 11-12 & 13-15 yr olds
Play dates: Mar 3, 10, 24, 31, Apr 14 & 21
Location: Warwick Academy Field

Parents: join in as game monitors! Minimal volleyball knowledge is required.
A “Cool Volley” kids division will be added in to the ever-popular BVA Corporate Tournament this Spring 2012!
