HIGH SCHOOL PLAYER OF THE YEAR 2010

The Bermuda Volleyball Association congratulates all the players who participated in the 2010 High School Volleyball league, which wrapped up with the men’s and women’s end of season tournaments in December.

For the 5th consecutive year, the BVA has sponsored the High School Player of the year award, which was presented at the end of season tournament to the best female and male player. Throughout the regular season, each coach votes for one exceptional player on the opposing team that stands out during the game. When the votes were tallied this year the female winner was Mimi Bridges from Berkeley , and the Male winner was Daniel Fiddick from Warwick Academy.

The BVA was also accepting applications throughout the high season for 6 bursaries of $1,000 each, to be used to attend an overseas volleyball camp.

The Girls Bursary Winners were Melissa Fiddick from Warwick Academy, Kyla Sinclair from MSA, and Ashley Borges from Warwick Academy

The Boys Bursary Winners were Daniel Fiddick from Warwick Academy, Joshua Malpas from Warwick Academy and Keiran Hamilton from Warwick Academy.
